I was watching the rains pouring down, after I was through with my brunch. But, I just felt that watching the rains from the windows, was not doing justice to such an awesome climate, which we get only once a year.
Hence decided to hit the raods on my bicycle, whereas my brother and his friends decided to come along on their motorbikes.
Pise dam, about 20-25 Kms away from Kalyan, was the first destination that came to my mind. I filled up my sipper, took my helmet and bicycle to hit the roads.
The conditions of the roads (or rather potholes), were not suitable for normal commuting, but it made me feel as if, I am going through some rocky terrains. :)
Once the city limits were crossed, the roads were good and the rains made the ride more interesting and nice.
Reached Pise dam sometime after my brother and his friends reached there.
Took a breather at Pise Dam. Relaxed there for sometime and clicked some snaps (which will be uploaded asap). Some villagers were partying along the stream (as it was a sunday afternoon), whereas fishermen were trying their luck in such a nice flow.
After spending sometime at the dam, I started my return journey. Return journey was slowly paced and was more of a leisure trip.
It was nice trip and enjoyed the rains a lot, which made me feel nostalgic. :)
Need to make such trips quite often and do complete justice to the wonderful rainy season, we have here in and around Mumbai.
After taking this bicycle trip, I was completely satisified, with the way that Sunday afternoon was properly utilised. Rather than spending time in front of our favourite idiot box ;).
